David the Great | 2 Samuel 23 | 10:00 AM Service
What does it mean to be mighty in God’s Kingdom? In this sermon from 2 Samuel 23, we meet David’s mighty men—ordinary people whom God empowered to accomplish extraordinary things. Their humility, loyalty, courage, devotion, unity, tenacity, and faithfulness show that every believer matters and has a vital place in the body of Christ.
Discover why Eleazar’s hand clinging to his sword is a powerful picture of holding tightly to God’s Word, our spiritual weapon for defense and victory. We also consider why David placed Uriah the Hittite at the end of his honored list—a lasting reminder that David owned his sin, but his sin did not define him. God’s mercy and grace had the final word.
No matter what you have done or where you have been, Jesus offers forgiveness, freedom, and a new beginning. Be encouraged to cling to God’s Word, embrace your place in His Kingdom, and trust Him to use ordinary people for extraordinary purposes.
If this message encourages you, share it with someone who needs hope and subscribe for more Bible-centered teaching.
