In this message, we look at David’s covenant with Jonathan and how that promise was fulfilled through David’s kindness to Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9. What began as a faithful promise between friends became a powerful picture of God’s loyal love, grace, and covenant faithfulness.
Through David’s compassion, we see a beautiful foreshadowing of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ — a covenant that brings salvation, forgiveness, adoption as sons and daughters of God, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promise of Christ’s return.
