David the Great | 2 Samuel 11 | 10:00 AM Service
David is remembered as a shepherd, warrior, worshiper, and king — a man after God’s own heart. But in 2 Samuel 11, we also see one of the darkest moments of his life. David’s sin with Bathsheba and the murder of Uriah did not begin with one sudden failure; it began with a slow drift away from where he was supposed to be and who God called him to be.
In this sermon, we look at how compromise, ignored conviction, abandoned spiritual rhythms, and unchecked desires can lead us farther than we ever intended to go. David’s story serves as a warning and reminder that no one is above temptation, but God calls us to walk by the Spirit, build healthy spiritual “hedges,” and stay anchored in His Word.
