21 Days of Prayer & Fasting | Day 18

Day 18 | Unheard Prayer
When We Give Up Too Early

In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells us the story of a persistent widow who pleaded her case with a
judge that didn’t fear God or man. The unjust judge finally decided to respond to her plea, because she refused to leave him alone. She went back to him day after day and asked him to grant her justice against her adversary. The persistent widow never gave up...until her answer arrived.

Where sporadic prayer goes without an answer, persistent prayer avails much. Jesus asks us, if a persistent plea towards an unjust judge is finally heard…

"...will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?"

Luke 18:7

Answer to persistent prayer breaks through an army to get to you… Will you persist today?

Prayer Challenge:

How many of our prayers have gone unanswered because we gave up too quickly? Do you have needs today that can only be met by the hand of God? Make a list and record it in your prayer journal. Starting today, return to this list everyday and persistently petition to
God for the remainder of the 40 days.
